Upper Iowa came out with energy early in set two, taking an early 6-3 lead. Lewis was able to rattle off a 13-2 run several plays later, pushing them out in front with a 20-10 advantage and enough room to put the Peacocks away. The guests hit a game-high .346, while UIU recorded a game-low .088 attacking percentage.

The blue and white came to life in set three with a spark that lifted them to their 25-17 win in set three. They flipped the script to have their best performance at the net of the night with 19 kills (.265) after getting off a 7-2 start and not looking back. Semelroth tallied seven kills in this set alone, while Kono and Maria Winter put together a strong performance at the net to help bolster the scoring. McKenna Diermeier held down the back line and made diving plays to keep the action going.

Lewis responded with a scoring run in set four as they got ahead 7-1 early. The Peacocks were able to claw back to a 13-9 deficit from a mixed attack but traded points for the remainder of the set, unable to get another rhythm going.
