UIU football's kicker Nathan Behne nabbed the GLVC Special Teams Player of the Week award after the Peacocks defeated Missouri S&T 51-7 last Saturday.
 
The last Upper Iowa Special Teams Player of the Week was Traegen Kramer on Nov. 13, 2023. Behne is the football program's fifth Player of the Week selection in the 2024 campaign. 
 
The kicker converted all nine kicks against the Miners, including three field goals and six extra points. His three field goals (22 yds, 25 yds, 36 yds) gave Upper Iowa its first nine points of the contest. 
 
Behne went 6-6 on field goal attempts this season, with his longest being 41 yards. 
 
The Peacocks saw their first game over 50 points since 2017 while also notching their first seven-win season since 1997.
