Upper Iowa was unable to achieve their third unbeaten game in a row as they dropped to the Missouri S&T Miners by a score of 2-0.
It was a very quiet first half for both sides as neither team was able to attempt a shot on target in the first 44 minutes of action. The Miners recorded six shots which sailed past the goal, and senior
Kehinde Afolabi's 32
nd minute shot just missed wide right for UIU. With only 15 seconds remaining in the half, Alexander Burum scored for Missouri S&T, to put them in a 1-0 lead.

Diogo Cardoso recorded a save to the left side of the goal in the 53
rd minute to open the half. Junior
James Moody would then attempt a shot on goal a minute later which was saved by S&T keeper Cavitt Bruhn. Cardoso added a second save in the 65
th minute and the Miners would be awarded three consecutive corner kicks, but they were unable to get past the Peacocks defense. Junior
Nozomu Kamei attempted a shot on goal in the 72
nd, which would also be saved. The Miners would later secure a 2-0 victory as Luke Giesing scored in the 87
th minute to ice the game.
The Peacocks will return to Harms-Eischeid Stadium next weekend, for the final time this season. UIU faces Maryville in the Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Friday, Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m. before taking on Missouri-St. Louis on Senior Day, Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2:30 p.m.
