The Peacocks were unable to extend their win streak as they have suffered a 0-2 defeat to the Rockhurst Hawks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Isabelle Wagner had a very impressive game for the Peacocks, recording nine saves. This was her third game of the season with 9+ saves and she was one shy of her career high. Wagner recorded three saves in the first eight minutes of the game, before making back-to-back diving saves in the 17
th and 21
st minute. Sophomore forward Anna Lantz struck first for the Hawks, scoring the opening goal in the 21
st minute on an assist from senior forward Elle Kimball. Lantz is one of the best scorers in the conference as she is tied for most goals on the season with five, while also having the most shots and shots on goal. She recorded nine shots in today's game, with five being on goal.
Senior forward Hanna Jones scored her first goal of the season in the 34
th minute, which was once again assisted by Kimball, giving the Hawks a 2-0 lead. The Peacocks nearly answered with a goal of their own in the 54
th minute, on a great throw-in by sophomore defender Natalia Lima. Her pass was headed on goal by sophomore midfielder
Nevaeh James, which was saved by junior keeper Taylor James. Neither team scored in the second half, giving Rockhurst a 2-0 victory. Junior defenders

Katrina Kazluski played all 90 minutes for the Peacocks, while freshman forward
Haylie Hutchinson played 84 minutes for the second straight game.
Upper Iowa will look to get back on track next weekend in their road match against 4-4-3 Missouri-St. Louis. The game will be held on Friday, Oct. 13 at 5 p.m. UIU will play again on the road two days later against 7-1-3 McKendree on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 12 p.m.
