Upper Iowa has suffered their third loss of the season, falling on the road to Southwest Baptist 2-1.
The Peacocks and Bearcats had a quiet first half as both teams only attempted one shot on goal. Southwest Baptist's lone shot of the half came in the 7
th minute, which resulted in the first goal of the game. Sophomore defender Victor Valero scored on an assist from junior defender Callum Bisset. Junior midfielder
Frider Blunck almost answered with a goal of his own in the 20
th minute, but he was denied by sophomore goalkeeper Dawson Sozio. An altercation right before the half resulted in cards for both teams, with Southwest Baptist being given a yellow, while junior midfielder
Millo Mamud was given a red.
Senior striker Tumekie Blackwood recorded the first two shots on goal of the second half for the Bearcats, which came in the 57
th and 65
