Upper Iowa women's soccer faced Minnesota State in Fayette on Friday and suffered a 4-0 loss. The Peacocks fell to 2-5-3 (1-3-3 NSIC) on the year and the Mavericks improved to 7-1-2 (5-0-2 NSIC) for the season.
Minnesota State expressed their dominance in the first half by commanding a 3-0 lead. Their first score was in the sixth minute of the match. Their next goal was netted in the 24th minute, giving Minnesota State the 2-0 advantage. Twelve minutes later they scored once again, carrying a 3-0 advantage into halftime.
The lone score in the second half was accomplished at the 68:52 mark. Minnesota State held their 4-0 for the rest of the contest.
The Peacocks saw a handful of scoring opportunities but were unable to execute. They took a total of nine shots in the match, five of which were on goal. Attempts were taken by Chloe Jaros, Navaeh James,

Isabelle Wagner saw 90 minutes between posts and pulled down four saves. Minnesota State's Mackenzie Rath recorded her fifth shutout of the season as she stopped five shots.
Upper Iowa will remain in Fayette for the second game of their current homestand. The Peacocks take the field again on Sunday, Oct. 2 to challenge Concordia St. Paul. Kick off is scheduled for 12 p.m.
