THIS WEEKEND IN PEACOCK SOCCER... The Peacocks will play their first pair of home conference matches here at Harms-Eischeid Stadium this weekend. Upper Iowa will host Purdue University Northwest on Friday, Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. Their second match of the weekend will be against Davenport University on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2:30 p.m.

LIVE COVERAGE OPTIONS... Fans who are unable to make it to the games in Fayette have a chance to follow along with a pair of live options. While live stats are available for free, fans will need to sign up for a FloSports subscription at https://flosports.link/3oPmh5x. As a bonus, anyone who subscribes using a GLIAC member institution domain (.edu) email address will be eligible for an additional discounted subscription rate. Upper Iowa is an affiliate member of the GLIAC in both men's soccer and women's lacrosse. The FloSports subscription will cover both home and away matches for the remainder of the season.

PEACOCK HUE REVIEW... Upper Iowa holds a record of 1-6 (0-3 GLIAC) on the year. In their most recent game, the Peacocks fell 3-0 to Saginaw Valley State (No. 13), the first place team in the GLIAC thus far. Prior to that match, UIU suffered a loss at UW-Parkside (No. 17) 4-1. Freshman Dexter Garrett scored his first goal of the season in the contest. He connected on a pass from Noah Gjervik and headed the ball into the upper right corner of the goal. This marked Gjervik's first assist of the year.

Offensively, the Peacocks have scored a total of nine goals on the season so far. Frider Blunk and Yannis Sapim lead the way with two each. Angel Tapia is at the helm of the assist category with two on the year.

PURDUE UNIVERSITY NORTHWEST... Purdue University Northwest comes to Fayette with a 2-3-2 (2-1 GLIAC) record on the season. The Pride are on a two game winning streak, coming out on top for the first time this season against Northern Michigan in a 1-0 final last Friday. Following that match, they clinched their second win of the year against Parkside on Sunday in a 1-0 result.

Purdue Northwest's defender Harrison Hooper was named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week. He played a key role in earning two clean sheets last weekend in the pair of wins against previously-undefeated opponents in conference play, including nationally-ranked Parkside (No. 17). He also scored the game-winning goal against Parkside.

DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY ... Davenport University sits at a 1-5-1 (0-2-1 GLIAC) record on the year. In their last two matches, the Panthers fell to UW-Parkside 1-0 and tied with Northern Michigan 1-1, their first draw of the season. Against NMU, the Panthers trailed 1-0 after the Wildcats scored in the 23rd minute. Davenport answered with a goal in the 30th minute from Eoin Broughan, his third of the season. Broughan and Matt Whelon lead the team in scoring with three each.

TAILORED TIMELINE… Upper Iowa men's soccer has one matchup next week against St. Cloud State University. The contest will be played at Harms-Eischeid Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 2:30 p.m. After the match against the Huskies, the Peacocks will have faced each GLIAC foe one time. They will see everyone for their second go around starting the following week.
