The Peacocks traveled to Truman State for their last contest before NSIC play starts next week. They fell short in a 1-0 defeat.
The Bulldogs scored in the 43rd minute. A few minutes before the first half concluded, Upper Iowa took a free kick that ended up being possessed by TSU. The ball was launched up the sideline in the direction of Ashlynn Bardo. She passed it in the direction of Rachel Homoki who connected on the only goal of the afternoon.
Upper Iowa took a total of five shots in the match, trailing TSU by two attempts. Junior
Nora Nouhaili took three shots in her first action of the 2022 season.
Jamie Kerkvliet and Isabelle Wagner completed a 45 minute stint between the posts with Kerkvliet recording one save.
The Peacocks return to action next weekend where they face two NSIC foes. Both competitions are played at Harms-Eischeid Stadium. The contest versus Southwest Minnesota State takes place Friday, Sept. 9. The next match takes place against the University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) Sunday, Sept. 11.
