The Peacock volleyball team posted a 3-1 victory over the University of Wisconsin Parkside on Friday night at the Hampton Inn Invitational in Kenosha, Wis. Upper Iowa scored the four-set victory by set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-12 and 26-24 to move to 4-1 on the season.
Tonight's action was UIU's second appearance on the court at Parkside on Friday, but due to the heat index in De Simone Arena and a ruling from the tournament committee, the Peacocks' first match against No. 19 Michigan Technological University was ruled a no contest after Upper Iowa took a two-sets-to-one lead over the Huskies. UIU's first match against MTU will not be made up.
In Friday's invitational finale, the Peacocks hit .300 for the match with 59 kills across the four sets averaging nearly 15 kills per set.
