The Peacocks traveled to Duluth, Minn. to face the Bulldogs in their next NSIC contest, resulting in a 3-1 loss. Upper Iowa dropped to 2-3-1 (1-1-1 NSIC) on the season as Minnesota Duluth improved to a 3-2-1 (2-0-1 NSIC) mark on the year.
The Bulldogs were hot from the start, taking a total of seven shots in the first half. They were able to execute for their first goal of the contest at the 40 mark. Upper Iowa took a total of three attempts in the first 45 minute stint.
The score 1-0 held until the 65th minute when UMD netted their second goal. However, Upper Iowa answered back on a penalty kick execution from senior
Katie Samuels only two minutes after. The Bulldogs clung to their 2-1 advantage until they put themselves on the board for their third and final time that night in the 83rd minute of the match.

Jamie Kerkvliet posted seven saves between the posts after facing a total of 13 shots from Minnesota Duluth, 11 of those being on target. Upper Iowa offered up six shots in the competition. Attempts were taken by

The Peacocks have a quick turnaround as they face the Minot State Beavers on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. The following weekend, Upper Iowa hosts their next two NSIC matchups here at Harms-Eischeid Stadium. Their first duel is against the University of Mary on Friday, Sept. at 3:30 p.m. The Minot State Beavers arrive shortly after, facing off in Fayette on Sunday, Sept. 25. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
