The Peacock women's lacrosse team lost a 24-4 decision to Davenport University at home on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers win was fueled by seven goals in a four-and-a-half-minute stretch in the first quarter. Upper Iowa falls to 0-8 on the season and 0-6 in the GLIAC, while Davenport improved to 11-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference.

Maya Chesky notched her third hat trick of the season with three of UIU's four goals.
Morgynn Spears recorded the other goal for the Peacocks. Upper Iowa registered a goal in each of the four quarters.

The Panthers scored 10 first quarter goals and added five in the second, five in the third and four more in the final frame. Blakely Malpass led DU with eight points with five goals and three assists, while Hannah Medina scored three times with two assists. In total, 12 Panthers recorded a goal in the game.

Davenport claimed advantages of 38-7 in shots and and 31-5 in shots on goal. While the Peacocks turned the ball over 27 times, UIU did force the Panthers into 13 turnovers.

Upper Iowa will be on the road next Friday, Apr. 15 in Houghton, Mich. when they line up against Northern Michigan University at 5 p.m.
