Upper Iowa is celebrating Stormin' Dorman Weekend in Fayette with five home games from Thursday to Saturday and the Multi-Sports Youth Girls Clinic on Saturday. The wrestling, women's basketball and men's basketball teams all have home events in Dorman Memorial Gymnasium and the Upper Iowa women's teams and their student-athletes will be hosting the multi-sports clinic in the UIU Rec Center on Saturday prior to the women's basketball game.

Thursday, Feb. 10 - Dorman Memorial Gymnasium
No. 15 UIU Wrestling vs. No. 17 Minnesota State - 7 p.m.

• UIU is hosting Youth Night with all kids under 18 getting free admission to the dual.
• The team will recognize their seniors prior to the dual. 

Friday, Feb. 11 - Dorman Memorial Gymnasium
UIU Women's Basketball vs. Southwest Minnesota State - 5:30 p.m.
No. 19 UIU Men's Basketball vs. Southwest Minnesota State - 7:30 p.m.

• Fans are encouraged to wear their best Hawaiian gear for the game.

Saturday, Feb. 12 - Dorman Memorial Gymnasium

• FREE Multi-Sports Clinic for GIRLS in Kindergarten-8th Grade
• Stations led by Peacock Female Student-Athletes
• Clinic Check-In/Registration | 12:15-1:00 p.m.
• NGWSD Multi-Sports Clinic | 1:00-3:00 p.m.
  • All clinic participants will receive:
    • Free t-shirt (sizes based on availability)
    • Free admittance into the UIU vs. USF Basketball games
    • Coupon card for BOGO ice cream at Sugar Bowl in Fayette

Pre-registration is preferred. However, walk-up registrations are allowed.

• Participants should bring a water bottle & clean pair of tennis shoes.
• Attendance at the basketball games following the clinic is optional.

In addition to the clinic stations, girls can also take advantage of meet and greet opportunities with Pete the Peacock and our Peacock Basketball players. The men's basketball players will be available in the Dorman Lobby during the 2nd quarter of the women's game and the women's basketball players will be available with 10 minutes to go in the 1st half of the men's game.

National Girls & Women in Sports Day, last Wednesday, Feb. 2, is a national event that recognizes the extraordinary progress sparked by Title IX and the ongoing effort to ensure access to sports for girls and women. Research indicates that girls who play sports have better health, higher self-esteem, stronger leadership skills, and greater academic achievement and economic opportunity. As part of this celebration, Upper Iowa is excited to offer our inaugural Multi-Sports Clinic for local girls in Kindergarten-8th grade. Participants will be involved in various sports stations to help expand life-long opportunities and expose them to a number of sports including volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, golf, & cheer/dance.
