The Peacock women and men's indoor track and field teams spent Friday and Saturday competing in the NSIC Championships in Mankato. Five women and seven men including alternates represented Upper Iowa in the post season event.

Maddie Stevens placed sixth in the 400m dash in a time of 57.98 seconds on Saturday. Her run of 57.88 seconds in the prelims on Friday was the fourth best time of the day and broke the UIU record. Stevens also ran the 200m dash in a UIU record time of 25.67 seconds to finish 15
th.

The final women's event was the 4x400m relay where
Zakaria Fuller, Stevens,
Jade Martin and
Brianna Crouch combined to finish 12th in a time of 4:08.71.

Minnesota State University, Mankato won the women's team title, while the University of Mary and Augustana University made up the test of the top three.

On the men's side,
Nathan Goranson broke his own record in the 600m Race. Goranson (1:25.56) and
Blake Smith (1:28.81) placed 11th and 17th, respectively.

Jaylen Hobson and
Kai Bateman placed 11th and 12th in the triple jump on Saturday. Hobson had a best mark of 13.57 meters, while Bateman's to leap was 13.54 meters.

Teddy Ayden placed in the top 15 of the 60m and 200m dashes. Ayden finished 11th in the 200m race in a time of 22.73 and 15th in the 60m dash in a time of 7.05 seconds.

Cameron Green, Ayden,
Deion Jones and Goranson combined to run the 4x400m relay in a time of 3:30.91 to place 11th.

Minnesota State won the men's team title with Augustana and Minnesota State University Moorhead rounding out the top three.
