Upper Iowa traveled to the Show-Me-State as the men's cross country team took part in the NCAA Central Region Championship on the campus of Missouri Southern. They competed in a 10k race.
Taking home the team title was the host, Missouri Southern, who ran for an average time of 29:09.31 Following Missouri Southern was Nebraska-Kearney, taking hold of second place with an average time of 29:50. Rounding out the podium was Augustana, running for an average time of 29:58.
The individual crown was secured by Missouri Southern junior Gidieon Kimutai, as he came down the home stretch with a time of 29:01.31.
Upper Iowa finished the day coming in 29th place out of 30 teams, improving their place two spots from a year ago. They ran for an average time of 35:10.
The Peacocks were paced by
Nathan Goranson who came in 156th place. He broke the school record in his final race on the course with a time of 33:04.98, Other notables were

David Snider (36:03.12) and
Nolan Evans (37:12.58).
