Upper Iowa fell 2-0 to the University of Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon. Following the game, the Peacocks move to 0-5 while the Wildcats improve to 3-2 claiming their third straight victory.
Upper Iowa got off the first shot in the match for the first time this season. After nearly 40 scoreless minutes, Northern Michigan found the net at the 39:56 mark on a Ryan Palmbaum free-kick following an Upper Iowa foul for his third score of the season. The Wildcats advantage extended to 2-0 after the Peacocks scored on their own goal as an NMU free kick came into the box as time expired in the opening frame.
The second half was scoreless as the Wildcats held on until the finish for a 2-0 victory.
