After a scoreless first 34 minutes, Wisconsin-Parkside found the net first in the 35th minute as Edgar Heredia Victoria connected with the back of the net on his first shot of the day. Prior to that point, Peacock goalkeeper Reighly Schultz saved all three shots on target that he faced.

The sophomore was assisted by Max Ludwig and Matteo Quintero in the 60th minute, 58 seconds later Tode Atlija and Jorge Garcia strung together a pair of passes to the Oshkosh, Wis. native for another score. The Peacocks were unable to find the net in the final 28 minutes resulting in the 3-0 loss.

TURNING POINT… Heredia Victoria's first goal gained the advantage for the Rangers and inspired two more scores.

PEACOCKS OF THE MATCH... Stan Cargill led Upper Iowa with two shots on target.
STATS OF THE GAME...
  • Schultz totaled five saves in comparison to three made by Parkside.

  • UIU appeared to be more disciplined in the match as the Peacocks committed nine fouls compared to 13 registered by the Rangers.

QUOTABLES...  "Today was a great learning experience for a lot of our younger players. Parkside likes to play with the ball and it was good for us to be competitive for periods in the game with that style," said Head Coach, Willie McGowan

"We are a bit short on experience and numbers given injuries, etc... at this time but we gave a good account of ourselves and still felt we were in the game being 1-0 down. However, the two quick goals in the 2nd half put the game away and it was difficult to get ourselves back in it."

UP NEXT...  The Peacocks will host the Panthers of Davenport University on Saturday, Mar. 27 at 12 p.m.
