The following Upper Iowa Athletic Home Events attendance policies have been set for all home events this spring season. There are quite a few variations in the guidelines below based on the specific facility and which conference a sport may belong to. The guidelines below will be reviewed when and if necessary as we move through the spring season.
- Men's Soccer
- As an affiliate member of the GLIAC, we will be adopting the GLIAC's No Spectator policy for our home men's soccer games. All GLIAC events will be held without spectators, bands, mascots, cheer teams and promotional activities.
- GLIAC administrators will continue to monitor and evaluate the COVID climate, and will make future determinations for fans and spectators at a later date.
- Other Outdoor Sports – Baseball, Softball, W. Soccer, Football
- UIU Athletics will not restrict attendance at our outdoor venues including Harms-Eischeid Stadium, Pattison Field, Robertson Woods Field, & Eischeid Softball Complex with the exception of men's soccer games (see above).
- Spectators will not be allowed on the field of play, on the team sidelines, or in the team dugouts any time before, during, or following competitions.
- Fans will not be allowed within 12 feet of the field of play, the dugouts, or the sidelines.
- All fans will be required to abide by the fan guidelines listed below. If spectators refuse to comply, they will be asked to leave the facility.
- Indoor Sports – Volleyball
- Attendance at our indoor events is still restricted to invitation only.
- Each UIU volleyball player & coach will be provided four (4) tickets per scrimmage.
- Visiting teams will not be provided tickets at this time.
- These spectator restrictions will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis.
- Outdoor/Indoor Sports held at other sites – Men's & Women's Golf
- Our "home" sporting events held off-campus, UIU will work with the respective facilities to establish spectator policies that comply with the local, state, and facility guidelines.
- As of March 11, the UIU Men's & Women's Golf Invitational scheduled for April 1-3 will be held without restrictions on fan attendance. Spectators will be asked to follow the guidelines listed below.
- Spectator Guidelines
- We ask that fans stay home if they are sick or are experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms.
- Masks are required by all fans, game personnel, media members, administrators, coaches, and participants who are not on the playing court or field.
