The Peacock volleyball team posted their third-straight sweep at home to close out the 2021 schedule in Dorman Memorial Gymnasium. Upper Iowa defeated Minot State University by scores of 25-7, 25-6 and 25-17.

Upper Iowa hit .415 in the match with 41 kills and just 7 attack errors and added 11 service aces to dominate the match. The Peacocks held the Beavers to 17 kills and forced Minot State into 20 attack errors for a negative .042 hitting average.

Zoe Semelroth led the Peacock attack with 9 kills and added 4 blocks, while
Emily Kono added 8 kills and a block.
Kaitlyn Mohwinkle (7),
Kylie Willis (5),
Kaitlin Niedert (4) and
Kylee Oldenburger (4) combined for 20 kills in support as well.
Nicole Pozorski handed out 30 assists, while
Charisma Herr notched 8 digs. Pozorski and
Kaci Beesecker each chipped in six digs.

Upper Iowa improves to 19-8 overall and 12-6 in the Northern Sun after the win. The Peacocks are now in a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings. The top eight teams in the standings after next weekend's matches will play in the NSIC Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Next weekend, the Peacocks will close out the regular season with matches at Northern State University on Friday, Nov. 12 and Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday, Nov. 13.
