The Upper Iowa University women's soccer team could not hold the Marauders at bay as they fell by a score of 2-0 in Bismarck, N.D. The Peacocks drop to 5-2-0 (3-2-0 NSIC) on the year while UMary improves to 5-1-2 (4-0-1 NSIC) on the season.

The University of Mary opened the match with the first shot of the game at the 6:54 mark, and Natalie Rudrud made the save for UIU on the shot on goal. The UMary offense would only record two more shots for the rest of the first half, but the Upper Iowa offense was held without a shot for the first 45 minutes. Despite their low shot total, the Marauders seemed to be in control for most of the first period as they also compiled a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. Despite the numbers favoring the home team, the UIU defense held firm as the match remained scoreless through the first frame.

UMary again took the first shot of the half in the second period as their attempt at the 48:57 mark bounced off the right goalpost. The Marauders kept up the pressure and earned a corner kick at the 59:00 mark that led to a shot on goal that Rudrud saved before UMary scored off of the rebound to go up 1-0 at the 59:22 mark. The Marauders wasted no time getting back on the attack and would score again on the next shot of the match at the 66:14 mark to take a 2-0 lead that they would not relinquish.

Another UMary shot on goal in the 75th minute was saved by Rudrud, and it was not until the 79:19 mark that Upper Iowa was able to record their first shot of the match. The Peacocks took the final five shots of the match over the last 11 minutes, but none of their attempts found the back of the net despite shots on goal from Sami Reding, Katie Samuels, and Alex Garcia.
