The Peacock women's soccer team opened their conference schedule Friday afternoon on Pattison Field in Fayette. Upper Iowa locked up with Concordia University, St. Paul in the Northern Sun opener for both teams. The two teams played to a 0-0 draw after 110 minutes of action pushing UIU's record to 0-2-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the conference and CSP's mark to 3-0-1 overall and 0-0-1 in NSIC play.
The Golden Bears controlled the pace of play and let loose 20 shots against the Peacock defense, but Concordia-St. Paul only put 6 of their shots on target. UIU's
Natalie Rudrud was up to the task making the 6 saves including one in the final overtime period. Upper Iowa took 5 shots on the day, but put 4 on frame. Jordyn Clark made all 4 saves for CSP.
Hannah Pavek and Haleigh Bares each took 4 shots to lead the offense, while Jackie Ehlert and Jena Berkland both hit 3 shots at the net.
