The Northern Sun announced their weekly baseball award recipients and Upper Iowa's Duncan Snider was named the NSIC Pitcher of the Week. Snider joins his teammate Emmett Kulick as the second Peacock to be honored by the NSIC this season.

Over the week, Duncan posted a 2-0 record against Concordia and Sioux Falls, throwing 13 scoreless frames between his two appearances. The right-hander held opposing batters to just a .170 batting average and recorded 14 strikeouts. Snider picked up his first complete game shutout of the season against USF and his 13 scoreless innings lowered his season ERA from 3.03 to 2.26.

In his seven NSIC starts this season, Snider has been lights out for the Peacocks, holding batters to just a .185 batting average and striking out 54, the NSIC's second best. Duncan is among the top ten pitchers in the NSIC with a 1.85 ERA and has a WHIP of 1.21 in conference games.

Behind Snider's 2-0 record last week, Upper Iowa went 3-2 after splitting a midweek doubleheader against CSP and taking two out of three from the USF Cougars at Robertson Woods Field over the weekend.
