The Peacocks got out to an early lead for the fourth time this year. Justice Johnson debuted in a big way for Upper Iowa. Just over ten minutes into the match he stormed down field and connected a pass to Italo Martins Soares across the field. Soares was able to score from about 15 yards out from the left side putting Upper Iowa up 1-0 at the 11th minute mark.

Northwood then evened things up at the 34th minute mark when Charlie Evans was able to score on the very left side of the net. After being fed into midfield from Jack Doyle, Evans was able to score on the left side as Peacocks goalkeeper Reighly Schultz extended his entire body across the net but was unable to deflect the shot since he was set up at the opposite end of the goal tying the game at 1-1 with a shade over 11 minutes to play.

The match remained at 1-1 going into half. Upper Iowa was outshot 14 to four but the quality of their shots allowed them to maintain the 1-1 draw. Schultz outsaved Northwood's goalkeeper Corbin Cecchini six saves to two.

The Timberwolves took control of the game scoring for the second time at the 68th minute mark. Jack Doyle was able to score from 20 yards out after receiving a crisp pass from Austin Hobbs, putting the Timberwolves up by the eventual final score of 2-1.
