UMD added three more runs in the third inning moving out to a 4-0 lead. The runs came on a pair of doubles; one scoring two baserunners and the other plating one.
Upper Iowa answered in the top of the fourth inning cutting the lead in half, but the Peacocks left the frame wanting more.
Jacob Greco singled to right with one out and moved to third when
Conner Klostermann followed with a double to left.
Dominic Hillesheim made it three straight hits with an rbi-single leaving runners on the corners.

Cole Scieszinski loaded the bases with two outs, but a foul fly ball ended the inning and the Peacock rally.
UIU only managed one hit over the final three innings, while Peacock starter
Ryan Munoz buckled down and didn't allow a hit over the final three innings. For the game, Munoz (1-1) threw 6 innings allowing the 4 runs on 5 hits while striking out 6 batters.

The Bulldogs jumped all over the Peacocks early in game two. UMD put five runs on the board and one more in the second inning to chase UIU's starter

Trailing 6-0, Upper Iowa scored a run in the third inning when Cain singled to center to plate

UIU scratched another run off the lead in the fifth inning as the bases were loaded on a Cain single along with a walk and hit batter. A wild pitch allowed Cain to score and Greco and Klostermann advanced to second and third with one out, but a pair of strikeouts stranded the runners on base.

Dalton Steere from second base. The UIU run cut the lead to four, 7-3, with one inning to play. The Peacocks put a pair of runners on, but couldn't get them around the bases as UMD completed the day's sweep.

Chris Webber allowed only a run in his 3 innings of work.
