2019: Made 40 starts for the Peacocks during his senior campaign, driving in 22 runs and batting .338 over the season. Salato was one of 8 players in the NSIC with a perfect fielding percentage (1.000) and at least 80 putouts.

2018: Started in all 41 games for the Peacocks and hit .297 in his first year with the Peacocks. Picked up 15 RBIs for Upper Iowa, scored 25 runs, and collected 8 extra base hits.

2015-17: Played at Marshalltown Community College... Appeared in 32 games as a freshman, rotating between first base and catcher... ranked fifth on the team with a .325 batting average and third on the team with a .440 on base percentage... collected 27 hits with three going for extra bases... first-career home run came in a 3-2 loss to Muscatine on April 24... totaled four multi-hit games... recorded five hits in his first five at bats to start his career, including a 4-4 performance with two RBI and a run scored in a 15-5 win at Rockingham CC on Feb. 20...named to the Academic All-Region XI Second-Team in both the fall and spring semester... named ICCAC Player of the week in February of 2017... named to 2017 ICCAC Division I Baseball All Region XI 1st Team as a catcher.

High School: Played baseball at Knoxville High School for head coach Joel Johnson... also a member of the basketball and tennis teams... 2015 All-State 3A catcher... earned first-team all-district, and first-team all-conference honors in 2015... first-team all-conference selection in 2014... three-time Gold Glove Award winner.
