The Peacock men's basketball team wrapped up their preseason with an exhibition game at the University of Northern Iowa on Thursday night. The Panthers doubled up the Peacocks in the first half, but Upper Iowa outscored their hosts 43-42 in the second half. UNI posted an 82-63 victory at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls.

After shooting just 22% in the first half, the Peacocks lit up the nets in the second half shooting 47% from the floor. Of UIU's six first half field goals, five of them were from beyond the arc. The improvement in shooting was obvious in the second half as the Peacocks converted 16 field goals including three from deep.

Northern Iowa shot very well in the game converting 46% of their shots (32-69) including six from long range.

AJ Green led UNI with a game-high 27 points, while Wyatt Lohaus chipped in 16 points and Trae Berhow added 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Joe Smoldt scored a team-high 21 points thanks to five three-pointers.
Jareese Williams added 12 points and
Munachiso Okonkwo chipped in 11 points.
Quentin Blaue led the Peacocks in rebounds with 7 and assists with 3.

Upper Iowa will open their season in St. Joseph, Mo. at Missouri Western State University. The Peacocks will take on Northwest Missouri State University and Missouri Western State on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10.
