Reno's Hitman... Senior left fielder
Anthony Calton has been raking at the plate this season. Calton is currently hitting .410 (60th NCAA DII/2nd NSIC) with a .526 slugging percentage and a .478 on-base percentage (5th NSIC). But what makes the Reno, Nev. product such a great all-around hitter is that he also leads the team in sacrifice bunts with 5 (3rd NSIC). Calton is also ranked as the 5th hardest batter to strikeout in the Northern Sun Conference.
The Weekend in Bismarck… Luis D. Ravelo-Herrera hit .462 for the weekend to lead the Peacock offense. The senior shortstop had 6 hits on Saturday including a 4-4 game two in which he hit for the cycle scoring four runs and driving one in. Jacob Greco hit .429 against U-Mary with a pair of doubles and Colton Janssen hit .400. Emmett Kulick (.375) and Alex George (.333) also hit over .300 for the weekend; George had a team-high 4 rbi. In addition to Munoz's great start, Jay Kiel earned the win in game two in relief throwing five innings. Brett Fanning and Tyus Adkins both took losses despite good efforts on the hill for the Peacocks on Sunday.
Pitching Staff... While Upper Iowa split their four-game series at U-Mary over the weekend, the pitching staff was throwing their best stuff over 30 innings of work. The Peacock pitchers allowed just 10 earned runs, 13 in all, for an earned run average of 3.00. Freshman
Ryan Munoz led the way taking a perfect game into the sixth inning and a no-hitter into the seventh before allowing three hits and a run in the Marauders final turn at the plate. The effort earned Munoz his first win of the season.

While WSU swiped four steals in the week, the catchers in purple took five would-be base stealers off the base paths. Winona State's pitchers struck out 38 batters and six hurlers had an earned run average of 3.00 or better.
