TONIGHT IN PEACOCK WOMEN'S HOOPS… UIU hosts the Clarke University Pride in tonight's non-conference matchup on Prochaska Court in Fayette. The Peacocks are looking for their first win of the season after two losses at home to Fort Hays State University and Missouri Western State University in the MIAA/NSIC Tournament. Upper Iowa will have their hands full with the Pride though; Clarke comes into the game with a 5-0 record and an offense that is averaging nearly 80 points a game. The UIU men's basketball team will be signing autographs prior to the women's game and the women's team will be signing autographs following their game.

PEACOCK LEADERS… Freshman Natalie Dinius and junior Blair Klostermann lead the team in scoring at 10.5 points per game. Dinius has converted 9 of 10 free throws to lead the team at the charity stripe. The Peacocks are shooting 79.3% at the line (23-29) after two games. Klostermann cleared 12 rebounds over the weekend, while sophomore Bekka Pierson pulled down 10.
SCOUTING THE PRIDE… Clarke is off and running this season with an early 5-0 record. The wins have been by an average of 14 points; the largest margin of victory came in an 89-72 win over Trinity Christian College while the slimmest margin came in a 74-69 win over Midland University. Kea Whittington is averaging 19.8 points and 5.2 assists per game and is shooting 46% from the floor and 44% from three. Three other players are averaging double figures in scoring with Natasha Adames netting 15 a game, Makenna Haase adding 13 each contest and Morgan Pitz knocking in 11 points a game. Haase is clearing 9.4 rebounds per game, while Adames is grabbing 8.8 a contest. As a team, Clarke is shooting 45% from the floor and 33% from three, but the Pride have struggled at the free throw line converting only 59% of their attempts at the charity stripe.
LOOKING AHEAD... The Peacocks will leave Fayette for the first time this regular season for a pair of games in Quincy, Ill. Upper Iowa will compete in the Quincy University Subway Classic where they will line up against the Bearcats of McKendree University on Friday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. and the Hawks of Quincy on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m.
