Peacock Baseball Cancels Road Trip to Memphis Due to Southern Snow

The latest snowstorm, cold temperatures and all forms of precipitation forcasted for the weekend in Memphis have forced Upper Iowa and LeMoyne-Owen to cancel their three-game series.

Head Baseball Coach Mark Danker announced that the Peacocks' second road series of the 2015 season has been cancelled due to current field conditions and this weekend's forecast in Memphis, Tenn. UIU was scheduled to face the Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen College this Saturday and Sunday in a three-game series.

Upper Iowa is currently 0-2 after dropping their first two games against Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Mo. The second two games of their opening series with the Lions were also cancelled due to snow in southern Missouri. The Peacocks are now slated to return to action in Clearwater, Fla. at the Winning Inning Baseball Invitational from March 8-14.
