The Peacocks surrendered a goal in each half to drop a NSIC match at Augustana, 2-0.
Kirsten Smith, a junior from Omaha, Neb., scored 25 minutes into the first half, then again with 15 minutes left in the second half.
UIU outshot Augustana 20-13, including 12-8 in second half, but only managed to put five shots on goal.
The Peacocks controlled the game for the majority of the first half and put a lot of pressure on the Vikings in the second half, but just couldn't find a way to put the ball in the back of the net.
Aimee Wronski led UIU with six shots, while
Madie Edwards had four and
Corinne Wronski had three. Goalkeeper
Kaitlyn Emanuel made two saves in the contest.
The Peacocks will take on the Wildcats of Wayne State on the road Sunday. The game will kickoff at 1 p.m.
