The Peacocks dropped a Northern Sun Conference match for the third straight time tonight in St. Cloud, Minn. The Huskies of St. Cloud State swept Upper Iowa and limited UIU to just 31 kills and a .067 hitting percentage in three sets.
The teams opened the match going point for point as the home team held a one-point advantage, 15-14, in the first set. St. Cloud State then jumped on the young Peacocks posting the win by scoring 10 of the next 12 points.
In the second set, UIU trailed early, but rallied to tie the set at 13-13. Once again, the Huskies pulled away with a decisive run that included the final five points to register the 25-19 win.
Upper Iowa showed signs of life in third set using a 5-0 run of their own to take a 17-14 lead. St. Cloud State rallied to tie the set at 20-20 and worked out to a 24-23 lead. SCSU scored the final point and claimed the sweep over UIU.
Neither team hit well on the night; the Huskies posted the only hitting percentage in a set over .200 with a .278 in the second set. St. Cloud State also held an advantage at the net 11-7 in team blocks.

Next Up
The Peacocks will look to snap their three-match losing streak next weekend. Upper Iowa will play on the road in a pair of NSIC matches at the University of Sioux Falls on Friday and Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday.
