This Week in Peacock Baseball... 
Upper Iowa will remain on the road for six games this week as they visit the Golden Bears of Concordia University, St. Paul on Wednesday and then travel to the University of Minnesota Duluth for a four-game set with the Bulldogs on Saturday and Sunday.  UIU bounced back last week winning four of their six games away from home and pushing their Northern Sun record back over .500.  The Peacocks split a double header at Winona State University and then took the final three games of a four-game series at Bemidji State University.  UIU has now won three straight and five of their last eight games to reach a sixth place tie with Concordia in the NSIC standings.

Wednesday in St. Paul, Minn.:  Abundant sunshine. High around 55F. Winds light and variable; from the N at 5 mph.  Saturday in Duluth, Minn.:  Occasional showers possible.  Highs in the low 50s and lows in the low 40s.  Chance of rain 30%.  Wind from the W at 11 mph.  Sunday in Duluth, Minn.:  Showers.  Highs in the low 50s and lows in the mid 30s.  Chance of rain 40%.  Wind from the NW at 12 mph.
 
Last time the Peacocks and Golden Bears met…  
The Peacocks and Golden Bears split a pair of NSIC games at Robertson Woods Field last year. The Peacocks dropped an extra inning affair in game one, 8-5 (8), but rallied to win the second game, 7-2. The home team had their chances to pull out a win in the first game, but couldn’t come up with the big hit in the late innings.
 
Last time the Peacocks and Bulldogs met…  
Upper Iowa and Minnesota Duluth split their four-game series in Fayette last year.  In the first game, Upper Iowa was limited to just one hit through the first six innings dropping the contest by a 6-2 score.  In the second game, the Peacocks and starter Matt Treybig held the Bulldog offense to just three hits for a 6-0 victory.  In game three, UIU was held scoreless until the bottom of the seventh inning. UMD scored five runs over the sixth and seventh for a 5-1 win. The Peacocks rallied back from a two-run deficit in the eighth inning of the series finale and scored in the bottom of the ninth to win, 6-5.
 
On Deck...
The Peacocks will play against the Wildcats of Wayne State College next Wednesday, Apr. 18, and then host the Wolves of Northern State University on Saturday and Sunday, Apr. 21-22.
