TONIGHT’S MATCH WITH THE WARRIORS... The Warriors are coming off a big weekend that saw them upset #10 Wayne State in five sets and then defeat Augustana on Saturday in four sets. Winona State boasts the current NSIC Defensive Player of the Week in the form of Shannon McGowan, who registered 99 digs in three matches last week, including 45 in the win over Wayne State. McGowan added 30 digs in a win over Augustana and 24 against Minnesota State.

A LOOK BACK AT LAST WEEK FOR THE PEACOCKS... The Peacock volleyball won their seventh match of the season in Dorman Gym on Friday evening and kicked off Upper Iowa’s 2011 Homecoming weekend with a bang. The home team won a pair of close sets with the Vikings of Augustana and then dominated their guests in the third set to complete the sweep. The win over the Vikings came between two three-set losses to nationally-ranked opponents in the forms of Southwest Minnesota State and Wayne State.

LOOKING AHEAD TO FRIDAY... Upper Iowa and Winona State will see each other again this Friday night in Winona, Minnesota. The Warriors and Peacocks will line up at the net for the NSIC rematch at 7 p.m. in just three days.
