Derek Oelmann rocketed a shot past the Crusader keeper in the 37th minute and Andrew Youde and the defense held that slim lead for the next hour-plus to give Upper Iowa a 1-0 win over Clarke University.  With the win, the Peacocks are now 8-6-1 on the season with three games remaining.

The shot by Oelmann came off a turnover in Clake's defensive third and the senior striker from Janesville, Iowa hit a low liner to the left of the goalie into the back of the net.

UIU's defense played well in limiting the Crusader's opportunities after the goal.  Youde made 7 saves for the Peacocks in earning his seventh shutout of the year.

Upper Iowa will return to Pattison Field next Wednesday at 3 p.m. to face the Warriors of Midland University.
