The Peacocks lost a five-set thriller at MSU Moorhead in their final match of the 2010 season. Upper Iowa took the floor looking for their tenth win of the season and came out strong winning the first two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-22. The home team regrouped at the break and rallied to tie the match with 25-15 and 25-20 wins in sets three and four. 
 
 
UIU had their opportunities with three set and match points in the final set, but in the end the Dragons scored the final three points of the set, 20-18, and won the contest 3-2. With the loss, the Peacocks fall to 9-20 on the season and 6-14 in the Northern Sun Conference.
 
The Peacocks hit well in the first two sets in posting their wins. UIU hit .243 and .294 while racking up 25 kills and just 6 hitting errors in the opening sets. However, the visitors’ offense fell apart in the third set accounting for 9 kills and 7 hitting errors for a .057 percentage. Upper Iowa hit .128 in the fourth set and .167 in the final set.
 
Nicky Brown paced the offense with 18 kills, while Sara Vance added 11 and Kayla Wagner and Melanie Behnke each chipped in 9. Skylar Lesan dished out 52 assists, while Danielle Gernes recorded 21 digs for the defense. Wagner and Maryn Fulton played big at the net combining for 9 blocks on the night.
 
The Peacocks finish their 2010 campaign tied for 10th place in the NSIC standings with Bemidji State and Northern State.
