The Upper Iowa Peacock Men's Soccer team continued the 2010 season Monday afternoon by visiting Kirksville, Mo. to battle the Bulldogs of Truman State. The Bulldogs posted two goals in the first half and added three more after the halftime break to hand the Peacocks a 5-0 loss.

Truman State netted a second minute goal to take control of the match right from the start. The Bulldogs added goals in the 13th. 64th, 75th and 76th minutes to make the final tally 5-0 in favor of the home team.

The Bulldogs outshot UIU 37-10 which included an 18-2 margin in shots on goal. Peacock goalkeeper Jordan Bell turned away 13 Bulldog shots.

The Peacocks will be back in action tomorrow afternoon in St. Louis, Mo. as part of a women's-men's doubleheader with the Triton of Missouri-St. Louis. The women's match is scheduled for 5 p.m. with the men's match to follow at 7:30 p.m.
