Jill Preeshl, a senior from Onalaska, Wis., has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Golfer of the Week. This honor is the first NSIC Player of the Week award earned by an Upper Iowa student-athlete this year. Preeshl is the reigning NSIC Women's Golfer of the Year after earning Medalist honors at the NCAA Super Regional 3 in 2010.
Jill Preeshl led the Peacocks with a third place finish Laker Fall Classic, while UIU finished 12th as a team. Preeshl opened the tournament with a round of 75 and carded a 74 on day two to record a 149, the lowest two round score in the NSIC last week. The Onalaska, Wisconsin-native led the tournament in par four scoring (4.00) while capitalizing on five birdies through the two rounds.
