George Anthony

George Anthony enters his first season with the Peacock women’s soccer staff as the graduate assistant in 2017-2018. He comes to UIU from Pennsylvania where he was the Program Director & Technical Coach at 360 Soccer and the Assistant Coach at Vincent United FC.

As a technical coach at 360 Soccer, Anthony specialized working with top level talent including players from the US Women’s youth national team, top Division I, II & III programs and U.S Soccer DA clubs. He worked with the U15 & U19 elite girl’s teams with Vincent United who were both regionally ranked in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Prior to his move east, Anthony was a student Teacher at Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, Minn. He took on the role of the B-Squad Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach, finishing the B-squads season undefeated (12-0-2) and the Varsity season in the sectional quarter finals.  

Anthony is a graduate of the University of Jamestown (ND) with a Bachelors of Arts in Physical Education Teacher Education. He was a two-year transfer student who helped UJ to the NSAA conference final in the 2015-16 season finishing with a 12-6-1 record and earning the NAIA Scholar Athlete award. After finishing his collegiate playing career, George joined the UJ Women’s team as the volunteer assistant coach for the 2016 spring season.

Prior to UJ, George played at nationally ranked Genesee Community College (NY) from 2012-2014 and served as the team captain during his time there, reaching the regional finals both years.
 
George is a native of Bath, England and will be pursuing a Masters of Education at Upper Iowa University.
