Taylor Jones joined the Upper Iowa staff as a volunteer assistant coach prior to the 2023 season. Jones began her coaching career as an assistant coach at West Branch High School in West Branch, Iowa.
The West Branch, Iowa product went to junior college at Indian Hills Community College and played for UIU’s current Head Coach Laura North. At Indian Hills, Jones earned NFCA NJCAA Division I All-American honors in 2018 after batting .414 with 63 runs scored and 10 RBIs. Jones ranked seventh in the nation in stolen bases going 54-of-54 in stolen base attempts. She also earned all-region honors during her sophomore year in Ottumwa, Iowa.
After Indian Hlls, Jones transferred to Eastern Illinois University where she played the 2019, 2020, and 2021 seasons. i
Jones earned her Associate’s degree from Indian Hills in 2018 and completed her Bachelor’s degree in management from Eastern Illinois University in 2021.
