Jeancy Matumona-Bau starts his first season as a full-time assistant coach for the Upper Iowa men's soccer team in 2025. He joined the Peacock soccer coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in the summer of 2024.
Prior to joining Upper Iowa, Matumona-Bau spent the 2023 season as a student assistant coach for Ferrum College. He spent the previous two seasons as a midfielder for Ferrum, appearing in 15 games, making three starts.
He also played at NJCAA Division I Murray State College in Oklahoma from 2018-20. Matumona-Bau won the international cup with Royal FC Antwerp in 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His team defeated Werner Bremen (Bundesliga) and he contributed with one assist in a penalty shootout victory.
A native of Antwerp, Belgium, Matumona-Bau earned his Bachelor's degree in 2023.
