Upper Iowa University Athletics

Daniel Gethin enters the 2019 season in his second year as a Peacock.  Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Gethin has always had a passion for soccer, sport and fitness. Prior to his time at Upper Iowa, Gethin spent two years at Cayuga Community College in New York, NY. At Cayuga, Gethin studied Sports Therapy and played on the soccer team. During his two years as a Spartan, Gethin helped the team finish second in their conference, make a playoff run all the way to the regional finals, and was named to the academic honors list. 

During offseasons, Gethin has accumulated experience coaching youth soccer both in Scotland and the United States. He is certified by the Scottish Football Association’s Early Touches coaching program.

Gethin is now in the final year of his pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sports Studies with an emphasis in fitness and wellness.
