Trevor Hook, who was promoted to associate head coach prior to 2018-19, enters his ninth season in a full-time role with the Peacock men's basketball coaching staff in 2023-24. Hook was promoted within the program after serving as a graduate assistant at Upper Iowa from 2014-16. During his time with Upper Iowa, Hook has helped lead the Peacocks to two March Madness appearances in 2021-22 and 2023-24.

The 2023-24 season marks Hook’s fourteenth year as a Peacock. The Holland, Iowa native played for the men’s basketball team from 2010-14 prior to working as a graduate assistant under McKowen. As a Peacock, Hook saw action in 60 games making 9 starts in three active seasons; he sat out his junior season due to an injury.

In addition to his duties in scouting, preseason and postseason workouts, practice planning and many other areas of the basketball program, Hook acts as the recruiting coordinator and works very closely with the team on their academic affairs and community engagements. He also assists in the coordination and execution of all of the men’s basketball camps.

The Grundy Center High School product came to UIU after an outstanding career with the Spartans. Hook averaged 16.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists at Grundy Center as a senior leading the team to a 19-5 record and a No. 1 ranking in Class 2A midway through the season.
Hook graduated from Upper Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in management in 2014 and completed his Master’s Degree in higher education administration with an emphasis on leadership at UIU in 2016.
