Josh Weeber

Josh Weeber enters his first season in 2017-18 as the graduate assistant coach for the Peacock men's basketball program. Weeber enters his fifth overall with the university after playing for Head Coach Brooks McKowen and the Peacocks for the last four seasons.

Weeber graduated after playing in 125 games for Upper Iowa making 72 starts. He finished 13th on the all-time scoring list in program history with 1,295 points, and converted 39% from behind the arc in his career. Weeber became the 24th member of the 1,000-point club on the very last game of his junior season against MSU Moorhead in the NSIC Tournament quarterfinals.

Weeber was a part of the second-ever squad to reach the NCAA Division II Tournament after a historic 2016-17 campaign. Upper Iowa reached the 2017 NSIC Tournament Championship Game for the first time in program history, and won a Division II program-record 22 games.

The former forward graduated from Senior High School in Dubuque, Iowa in 2013, and was a two-time First-Team all-conference performer. As a junior, he earned first-team all-state honors while leading the Rams to a state tournament appearance.

Weeber earned his bachelor's degree in marketing at UIU, and is pursuing his master's at the university as well, and will graduate in 2019.
