Carson Parker returns for his fifth year on the Peacock coaching staff in 2022-23. Parker spent the 2018-19 season as a student assistant coach and the following two seasons as a graduate assistant. This coming season marks the ninth year for Parker as a Peacock. Â

The New Hartford, Iowa native played basketball at UIU for four years, serving as a captain for three of them. Parker also was selected as All-NSIC twice during his collegiate playing career. During the 2017-18 season, Parker averaged an impressive 17 points per game which was 7th highest in the entire NSIC as well as 5.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game. Parker led the Peacocks to a school-record 22 wins at the NCAA Division II level, and a trip to their first-ever NSIC Tournament Championship game during the 2016-17 season.

During his career at UIU, Parker scored 1,475 points, ranking eighth all-time in program history. The point guard is Upper Iowa's NCAA Division II leader in career points and assists, dishing out 482 in four years. His 602 career rebounds are second-best in the D-II history, behind Tucker Wentzien. Parker ranks 13th in program history in career boards. Parker played in 128 career games, and started 103 of those contests.

Parker graduated from Upper Iowa in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in physical education with a concentration in health and coaching. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in sport administration.Â
