Nate Roemer enters the 2019 football season in his fifth year as a Peacock, but first on the coaching staff as an assistant coach working with the defensive line. Roemer played football for four years as an undergraduate at Upper Iowa. He was selected as a captain during the 2017 season. He accumulated 105 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and five sacks during his time at Upper Iowa. Roemer received his Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics in 2017.
After graduation, Roemer spent a year teaching junior high math to students in his home state of Illinois. In July of 2018, Roemer accepted his first coaching opportunity as a graduate assistant and defense line coach with Missouri Western State University.
