Matthew Sauser joins the Peacock football coaching staff prior to the 2023 season as an wide receivers coach.

Sauser began his coaching career at Grand Blanc High School for the 2018 season as a running backs coach, before working as a defensive intern and safeties coach at Saginaw Valley State in early 2019. By the summer of 2019, he was working at Northwood University as an offensive intern, and he held many coaching positions during his four year career there, including running backs coach, assistant recruiting coordinator, assistant special teams coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

He attended Michigan State University, where he played quarterback and served as team captain for the university's club football team.

Sauser earned his Master’s degree in business administration from Northwood University. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in social science with a minor in history from Michigan State and a Master's of business administration from Northwood University.
