Chance Alberswerth begins his second season in 2018-19 as an assistant coach for the Upper Iowa football program. Alberswerth will coach the linebackers and act as the special teams coordinator for the Peacocks.
Alberswerth came to Fayette after spending a season with Missouri Western State University in Kansas City, Mo. as the linebackers coach. During his time with the Griffons, he coached a pair of All-MIAA llinebackers and worked with the team in a variety of ways. He served as the Alumni Relations Director and Associate Social Media Director as well.
Prior to his time with MWSU, Alberswerth spent the spring season at his alma mater, Avila University in Kansas City, Mo., working with the defensive line. Before heading back to Avila, Alberswerth two seasons as the defensive line coach at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb. He coach six All-GPAC defensive linemen during his stint with the Broncos.
Chance graduated from Avila in May 2013 with a bachelor's degree in business education, and earned his masters of art in teaching from Hastings in December 2015.
Chance resides in Fayette.
