Jeremy Ische heads into his sixth season as UIU's head baseball coach after taking over the reigns to the program in 2018-19. Ische was promoted to head baseball coach after two seasons as the team's assistant coach (2016-18).
Prior to his time in Peacock blue, Ische worked with the Luther College baseball program for two years. Ische is a veteran of Northern Sun Conference baseball; prior to his time in Decorah, he served as an assistant coach with Southwest Minnesota State in 2013 and 2014 and played his final two seasons at St. Cloud State University.
Upper Iowa placed 9
th in the NSIC in 2018, just one spot out of a place in the NSIC Tournament. However, the Peacocks ended the regular season in style winning three of four at home against the regionally-ranked Mavericks of Minnesota State University, Mankato.
A native of Norwood, Minn., Ische coached at St. Cloud Technical and Community College for one season and helped the Cyclones reach the NJCAA Division 3 World Series before he moved on to SMSU. He has also served as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Blizzard baseball program.
Ische played two seasons at North Iowa Area Community College, where he earned all-region honors, before closing his collegiate career at St. Cloud State. The Huskies posted a 79-29 record in 2009 and 2011 when Ische was on the field.
