The 2nd Annual Peacock Baseball Golf Outing and Dinner is an opportunity to make your way back to Fayette for a day of golf, fun and great food with current players and families, former Peacock baseball players and coaches, and our guests of honor for the weekend... the 1995-96 Peacock baseball team members that captured the IIAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, won the NCAA Regional title, and represented Upper Iowa in the NCAA Division III World Series, finishing fifth in the nation with an impressive 39-12 record.
Upper Iowa Baseball is hosting their second annual golf outing as part of the reunion weekend. The golf scramble will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12 and the day will cap off with a great dinner in UIU Student Center Ballrooms on campus.
Members of the 1995-96 baseball team and their families do not need to pay for the dinner, please let Mark Danker (dankerm@uiu.edu) or Howie Thompson (thompsonh@uiu.edu) know how many seats you need at the dinner.
The golf scramble format will be a 4-person best ball, with a fun wrinkle. Teams will sign up as threesomes ($100/player, or $300/team) and have four options for filling their fourth spot with a current player. Current players will be placed into “tiers” based on their golf ability, similar to selecting caddies. Each team will have the option to “buy” their way into higher tier, more experienced, current players in addition to their registration fee. These selections will be first-come-first-serve on the day of the event.
- “A” List Selection ($50): guaranteed choice from the “top-tier” current players.
- “B” List Selection ($25): guaranteed choice of the “mid-tier” current players.
- Specific Player Selection ($60): choose your current player by name, prior to event. Multiple selections of same player will be decided by date of registration.
- Luck of the Draw (Free): you can take your chances and choose from current players that are remaining after “A” List and “B” List Selections are made. To select this choice, simply avoid purchasing the first three options on the form below.
Lunch and a cart will be provided for the registration fee. Sponsorships are also available for players and non-players for the day to represent your business as a supporter of Peacock Baseball!

Open Field Session at Robertson Woods Field (10 a.m.)
Bring your glove! You’ll have the opportunity to hit, throw, and catch with your teammates and the current Peacocks.
Tailgate before the Peacock Football Game vs. South Dakota Mines (12 p.m.)
Food, drinks, and fellowship with a designated tailgate space for baseball alumni and guests.
Reserved Space on the North Patio for the Football Game (2:30 p.m.)
Special section for 1996 team members and guests to enjoy the game together.
On-Field Recognition at Halftime (Approx. 3:30 p.m.)
Be honored in front of Peacock fans as we celebrate the lasting legacy of the 1996 baseball team.

2025-26 Peacock Baseball Intrasquad Scrimmage (10 a.m.)
Spend a little time with the next generation of Peacock baseball players as they hit their stride during fall ball at Robertson Woods Field before departing Fayette with plenty of memories and renewed Peacock pride.
