2021: Played in 10 games... recorded 38 tackles, 26 solo, and 7.5 for a loss... finished second on the team with 4.5 sacks... also added three pass break-ups and one forced fumble... had a season high six tackles, three for a loss, and two sacks at Minot St.... name to NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.

2020: Upper Iowa did not compete due to the pandemic.

2019: played in eight games ... recorded 34 tackles, 22 solo ... 10.5 for a loss of 35 yards ... had three sacks ... forced one fumble... named to NSIC All-Academic Team

2018: played in all 11 games … recorded 14 tackles, seven solo … 1.5 for loss.

High School: Two-time Iowa High School All State Selection...  Two-time Muscatine Journal All Area Offensive Lineman… Two-time All Iowa Hawkeye Area DL… 2017 District 4 MVP.

Personal: Son of Matt Smith and Toni McLaughlin ... communications major.
