Biography

As a wrestler:

2016-17: Reached the NCAA Division II Championships in Birmingham, Ala.... posted an 18-9 record with 6 bonus-point wins including 2 falls and 4 major decisions... went 1-2 at the national championships... placed third at Super Regionals, topping Marcus Povlick of McKendree University 5-2 to place third.

2015-16: Reached the NCAA Division II Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D., going 0-2 on day one... placed second at Super Regionals, falling to Brett Velasquez of St. Cloud State in a wild championships match, 11-9... finished 8-4 with two falls and two major decisions... finished 2-1 against Northern Sun Conference opponents... suffered a stroke on Nov. 2, 2015 and had open heart surgery eight days later, but returned to the mat on Jan. 30 against Minnesota State.

2014-15: Redshirted.

Personal: Born January 4, 1996... son of Lakayla Shropshire and grandson of Pearlie Williams and Robert Williams, Jr.... human services major.
